Why Elstree?
Location
Thanks to its setting and proximity to important travel routes, Elstree has always been an attractive place to live and establish roots. The area of Elstree and Borehamwood is where people can create networks of friends, family and neighbours.
Many people have lived in the area for decades, while others have relocated more recently to be closer to family and friends. As a result, Elstree is home to a significant, settled community of older people.
With this context in mind, we believe that our investment in the village would help support the already thriving community.
Housing need
In Hertsmere, as with most areas of the country, demographic changes mean that town planners and developers need to consider how to better cater for different age groups and their respective priorities.
With an ageing population, Elstree also has a growing unmet need for homes with the availability of extra care.
With shared community spaces, supporting services and a wide range of amenities, our apartments in the Watford Road retirement village will be tailored specifically to serve the needs of residents aged 65 and over.
